The Department of Mathematics at NUS has been established since 1929. It has about 60 faculty members and it offers a wide selection of courses in undergraduate and graduate level covering wide areas of mathematical sciences. It has been ranked 1st among Asian Universities and top 30 worldwide in 2011 QS World University Ranking. It has a very stimulating research environment and many very active faculty members in research. For very good students, the department can admit you into its PhD programme with TOEFL and GRE waived, i.e. if you are a very good student, you may be admitted into our PhD programme even though you do NOT take TOEFL and GRE tests!!
